Real moments over perfect poses
I picked up a camera because I wanted to hold onto the way things actually felt — not just the way they looked. That hasn't changed. I'm still chasing the in-between moments: the laugh right before the smile settles, the look between two people who forget anyone else is watching.
I'm based in Sacramento and I shoot almost exclusively with natural light. That means golden hour is my best friend, open shade is a close second, and I will absolutely rearrange your timeline to chase good light. It's worth it every time.
I work with families, graduates, couples, small wedding parties, and professionals who want imagery that feels like them — not a stiff, over-directed version of them. If you want someone who'll hype you up, make you laugh, and deliver photos you actually want to print, we'll get along great.
My approach to your session
Natural Light Only
I shoot exclusively with natural light — golden hour, open shade, window light. No flash rigs, no studio setups. This means your photos look warm, real, and timeless. It also means I'm particular about timing — I'll help you pick the perfect window for your session.
Documentary Style
I direct just enough to put you at ease, then step back and let real moments happen. The best photos come from the space between poses — the look you exchange when you think nobody's watching, the kid who breaks free and runs. That's what I'm after.
Full Editing & Delivery
Every image is individually edited for color, light, and tone. No presets slapped across the board. You'll receive your full gallery in an online viewing room with download access and print ordering. Turnaround depends on the session type, but I never rush the edit.
