Yes. Most dogs do not hold a pose for long, so the session uses that energy: running shots, play with a toy, and short sits with a treat held above the lens. Angie shoots fast in short bursts and lets the dog take breaks. A walk before the session takes the edge off for very excited dogs.
Yes, usually at home. Cats are calmer in familiar rooms, so Angie works near your brightest windows, lets the cat come and go, and uses a wand toy or treats to catch attention. Plan for a slower session with breaks; some of the best cat photos happen in the last ten minutes once the cat relaxes.
Parks with open grass and shade, river trails, open fields and quiet neighborhood streets all work, and so does your own backyard or living room. Many Sacramento-area parks require dogs on leash, and some trails do not allow dogs, so the location is confirmed against the park's rules before the date.
Yes. Sessions for older or unwell pets are kept short, close to home or in it, and move entirely at the pet's comfort.
