What are you planning?

Graduation Photos in Lake Tahoe
Lake Tahoe graduation photos make the mountains and lake part of your milestone, cap and gown against the water. Start by deciding whether this is a destination portrait session or one tied to a particular school.

Family Sessions in Lake Tahoe
Lake Tahoe family photos fit best inside the holiday you are already taking. Often the right spot is on your own shore, with room for the whole group and an easy place to pause.

Engagement Photos in Lake Tahoe
Lake Tahoe engagement photos give you wide water, mountain air and time to relax together on one focused route. Choose between a broad lake view, a quieter wooded setting or a place tied to your relationship.

Small Weddings in Lake Tahoe
Lake Tahoe small wedding photography starts with the ceremony location and how your guests will feel there. A short guest list still gets a clear plan for the vows, family photos and the celebration after.

Portrait Sessions in Lake Tahoe
A Lake Tahoe portrait can celebrate your love of the outdoors or keep the scenery softly behind you. Start with what the images are for, and the landscape will support the person in the frame.

Gatherings & Events in Lake Tahoe
Lake Tahoe event photography follows your people and your program, at a private venue or an approved outdoor space. Everything starts with the event address, not a general lake location.

Sports Photography in Lake Tahoe
Lake Tahoe sports photography can capture an athlete’s portraits, a team or an organized game. What matters most is the sport, the venue and an authorized shooting position, more than the region’s adventure reputation.
Planning photographs in Lake Tahoe
Lake Tahoe photography starts with one shore and the light on the water there, not a checklist of distant landmarks. The California and Nevada sides are run by different park managers, with their own access arrangements and travel routes, so your session begins near your lodging or celebration. From there, decide what you want behind you: open water, a wooded setting or a town backdrop. This regional guide narrows the choice, and each town guide takes the planning further. Angie is based in Sacramento and builds each destination quote around your date, location, permissions and coverage, with travel included.
South shore: Regan Beach
City-run lakefront for a South Lake Tahoe day, with lawn beside the water. Private gatherings reserve the designated rental area; a casual visit does not.
Regan Beach visitor informationNorth shore: Kings Beach
A California state recreation area with the lake front and center. Angie checks parking, public activity and any photography approval before picking where you meet.
Kings Beach visitor informationNevada shore: Sand Harbor
A Nevada state park that deserves its own plan. Angie confirms the photography permit and entry first; it works as the main stop, not a quick extra.
Sand Harbor visitor informationLight and seasons
Each Tahoe season gives you different photos, so pick the one you will enjoy standing in. Snow changes walking access and mountain roads; summer beach crowds affect privacy and parking. Bring a warm layer, and agree a weather call and a nearby alternative ahead of time. Light depends on the particular shore, trees and mountains, so a published sunset time is only where Angie starts.
Travel and meeting plans
Tell Angie your lodging town and preferred shore, and the trip gets planned around them. Sacramento travel, any transfers and required permissions are worked out before your destination quote is confirmed. Check Caltrans and Nevada road information for the route you will drive, and keep a short portrait session on one part of the lake.
Some settings need a permit, reservation or fee. Angie confirms what applies to your date before the location is set.

Before you book
Choose the Lake Tahoe shore nearest your lodging or celebration. South Lake Tahoe, Tahoe City, Kings Beach and Incline Village each lead to a different day. Tell Angie the scenery and walking you prefer, and the location is narrowed before you book.
No, a Lake Tahoe destination quote does not include beach permission. Photography permission, entry arrangements and event reservations are handled with each location’s manager, and Angie checks your setting before it is confirmed.
